Food & Nutrition
At Immaculate Tots we promote and believe in the need for all children to eat healthily.
This is set out in our Healthy Eating Policy and we always aim to ensure that our snacks, hot lunches provided by HC3S and our cold tea’s (provided in-house) are consistent with our policy and that we follow the NHS guidelines on maintaining a healthy and balanced diet.
We positively promote the need for all children to be able to follow the ‘Eatwell Guide’ as detailed on the NHS website. We are always on hand to provide support and advice to parents and carers where necessary. We feel this is vital as we like to ensure that our parents and carers are able to help support us and their children in providing a healthy packed lunch. This also enables all the children to recognise the benefits of eating healthily and helps promote their early years education.
We are committed to ensuring that the needs of all children who may have a food intolerance, an allergy or a specific dietary requirement due to a medical or religious reason to be positively supported within Immaculate Tots to enable them to experience the benefits of eating healthily.
We ensure that for snack times, lunch times and tea times that we encompass a family style dining where children and practitioners all share the mealtimes together. This is invaluable in promoting communication, understanding and allows the children to feel like they are an important part of a community and part of the Immaculate Tots family.
