The environment is recognised for its potential to inspire children. An environment filled with natural light, order and beauty. Open spaces free from clutter, where every material is considered for its purpose, every corner is ever-evolving to encourage children to delve deeper and deeper into their interests.

The space encourages collaboration, communication and exploration. The space respects children as capable by providing them with authentic materials & tools. The space is cared for by the children and the adults.

At Immaculate Tots Nursery we aim to provide the best possible care for all children. We use natural resources and materials that can be transformed, allowing children to use their imagination and creativity. We provide materials such as stones, pine cones, wooden rings, logs etc. Our Nursery is welcoming, nurturing and homely. Resources and materials are displayed to be inviting, easily accessible and uncluttered. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia Principles.

With our research into the Reggio Emilia approach, we are able to incorporate in our daily routine and experiences with the children in the nursery. This approach is all about hands on discovery learning making children to use all their senses and language, thus promoting their creativity and independence.  We carefully observe and reflect on the children’s interests and continue to monitor their activities, documenting their learning through photographs, video and journals. At Immaculate Tots children are learning from interesting provocations and thoughtful questions. We encourage the children to ask questions to satisfy their curiosity and to embrace challenges through research and experiments.
